Great Scientists and Religion

LglsAthiest

Newton and Galileo were religious, would a theist person say;

'' How can you set yourself superior to them ? Knowing the truth ? Just who do you think you are ? '' I've heard this really bad argument comming out of the mouth of people too often.

As it is said in Dawkin's Book '' The God Delusion '' Wich i recommend every Believer or Non - Believer to read, Some people even add the name of Darwin, claiming that he has converted himself on his deathbed etc ... All rumours.

Darwin followed that path because it was the best way for him, to keep up his researchs.

But great scientists like Newton claimed to be Religious ! Would you say.

He did, so did every human in the past, because confessing the opposite would mean suicide at that time, or atleast or a dark fate.

Here is a quote from the brilliant British Mathematician and Philosopher Bertrand Russell :

''The immense majority of intellectually eminent men disbelieve in Christian religion, but they conceal the fact in public, because they are afraid of losing their incomes. ''

Another thing i would like to clarify over Einstein's beliefs:

A lot of people claim that Einstein was a believer, but actually, it was a bit more complicated;

Albert Einstein did not believe in a personal God, like the one described in the three Abrahamic religions.

He clearly did not believe in religions nor a personal God, Here is a quote :

'' I don't try to imagine a personal God; It suffices to stand in awe at the structure of the world, insofar as it allows our inadequate senses to appreciate it. ''

Baruch Spinoza was a Dutsch philosopher that believed, that if a God existed, he would be a God that doesn't watch Human actions, just a creator for the universe, we could say in some way that Spinoza equated God with the Material Universe and that is what Einstein believed in, The Spinoza god.

I do not believe in an Abrahamic God as i do not believe in any religion, I am though, Agnostic about the possible existence of a creator;

I do not have evidence to deny it nor to show its existence, It will maybe be never answered but i live my life as if there is no God, because it is better that way, i believe a healthy mind is a mind independant from such delusions, a healthy mind is strong enough to be dependent on its own, throwing comforting lies to trash.

Here was just a little paragraph, as i gather more members to write articles we will write more and more and longer and more complex articles !
