2014 was indeed a very good year for science, one of the greatest news I've heard that year is Rosetta's philae lander landing on a comet for the first time in human history, it landed on comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, not easily though, the poor lander had hard time trying to land but it made it after all. It was success for humanity but it also led to an incredible discovery, philae analysed samples from the frozen rock and it found organic molecules ! It found glycine which is an amino acid that is indispensable for life as well as a bunch of others, it was an incredible discovery and it supported...
